ORO JAYCEES PROFILE
The ORO Jaycees is now on its 61st year of training young men to become leaders in community service. For 61 years, the local chapter has made its mark in the city and is known to be one of the prime movers of Jayceeism in the Philippines. They have distinguished themselves as recipients of numerous awards both in the Philippines and abroad. The Chapter has been awarded the Most Outstanding LOM (Local Organization Management group) award by the JCIP several times. As well as numerous projects by the chapter winning national recognition such as the Hall of Fame Project SCUBASURERO – A massive community based coastal cleanup project. The Chapter has hosted three of the most memorable National Conventions that set the standard in the JCIP, the latest which was in 1999.
